Building and Maintaining your Digital Presence as an Educator

- Having a PLN allows you to connect with other educators, peers, students, and writers. This allows you to learn more about subjects you probably haven't heard of before and create new relationships. I plan on keeping my PLN but via Instagram and not Twitter

  • Designing an ePortfolio (website)

- ePortfolio's are a process. They can not be completed in a day and take some prior background knowledge on how to navigate creating a website. They allow you to keep track of work you have completed and reflect on important parts of your education. I also plan on keeping my ePortfolio because it allows future employees to see what I have learned and what I am able to accomplish.

  • Starting a teacher blog and

- Blogs also allow you to personally reflect on your work. They allow other people to see what you have learned and what they may have missed. I plan on keeping my blog up on my ePortfolio to reflect on my work.

  • Developing a digital classroom

- Digital classrooms are important especially in this day and age. COVID has taught current educators that they have o have a back up plan for lessons/turning assignments in. Digital classrooms are a great way to do this. So, having the knowledge to be able to create a digital classroom is important. I plan on having a digital classroom at all times.

  • Creating a video for a job interview

- Again, COVID has forced the world to adapt in times of hardship. Knowing how to make a professional, appropriate interview video is important. Unlike in-person interviews, video interviews allows you to re-take the video and correct yourself before you send it to a possible employer.
