Technology Tools:

- Making a spreadsheet on google forms allows you to keep track of students responses to a survey or pre-assessment


- Google photos gives unlimited photo storage for teachers when using school email so you are able to keep all your photos


- Ensure school related websites and learning management systems are mobile friendly


- Having access to canvas, meet, zoom, teams, schoolology. This allows you to have more online access with your students.


- Invest in video, audio, annotating tools to to better teach students online


- Screencast yourself instead of getting a sub so that there is no disconnect


- Use web/cloud based when possible


- In google you can use google tour creator to have students create VR videos as an assignment


- Thrively allows students to input information about themselves in it and then print them out to see/show their strengths


- Use YouTube to post lessons too so students can go back and use them as a reference


- Use translated slides to have what you say pop on on the screen in real time so students have to read what is being said


Pedagogical Strategies:

- Make positive calls home for every student to build relationships


- Take pictures or videos of students working and send to parents


- Talking points allows you to talk to parents in their native language and vice versa to diminish language barriers
